Sometimes detours lead us exactly where we are truly needed.

After many years working on large international industrial projects, my path led me – late, but with complete conviction – to teaching.

And I can say that it was one of the best decisions of my life.

Accompanying young people on their journey, gaining their trust, sometimes just encouraging them, means a great deal to me.

Perhaps it was my own story that made me realize that every person has a story.

And often, a single moment determines whether someone keeps going or gives up.

“You would make a good teacher.”

My wife said these words to me over 40 years ago.
I registered them at the time, but only really understood them much later.

After 25 years in industry, it was a big step—and at the same time a return to something that had always been part of me:
sharing knowledge. Encouraging. Leading by example.

What my students have given me

Some students have told me openly:
“With you, I feel like I can talk about things that no one else is interested in.”

Others have given me a look, a smile, a small gesture—
so much more than a school grade.

They have sensed that I take them seriously. Not just as learners, but as human beings.

What I am trying to convey

That mistakes are part of life – and how you can grow from them

That strength is often quiet

That taking responsibility also means knowing yourself

And that every path is unique – not straightforward, but possible.

What I firmly believe in

Those who place trust in young people often receive more in return than they could ever have expected.

A student quote

“You didn’t just teach us math—you taught us how to stay calm when everything is chaotic.”
